When the enemy makes weapons and plans attacks, he does so with careful thought, strategy, and purpose. But Job 5:12 tells us that God messes up the clever ones’ plans so they can’t work. Satan looks at your flaws, wounds, and habits, but no matter how hard he tries, he can’t stop God from being in charge. Before the plan gets to you, God has already changed the design by stepping into the model. He ends relationships, reveals intentions, rearranges talks, and stops plans that are kept secret. There were attacks that should have worked, traps that should have caught you, lies that should have stuck, and fights that you should have lost, but God got in the way. What the enemy made, God broke down.
This means that God is making things hard for you as you walk. God not only stops the enemy from killing, but He also stops him in his tracks. The enemy can throw the weapon, but it can’t hit anything. He can also try to attack, but he can’t succeed. Not as punishment, but as divine protection, doors shut, connections ended, delays showed up, and chances changed. God stopped what was going to stop you. The fact that the enemy’s plans fail shows that He is reliable and that they can only go so far. Heaven is working to break down every plan, even if you can’t see it. Isaiah 54:17 and Job 5:12 go together: the weapon may be made, but it will never work because God stops the enemy’s plans.
